I have a load of songs downloaded for lips. I took my xbox round my sisters to have a game and couldn't play any of the downloaded songs. She doesn't have an internet connection so i'm guessing that you have to be signed in to live to play songs you've downloaded.

If this is right it seems ridiculous. What if I lose my internet at home, or decide not to have an internet connection at home anymore. I wont be able to play songs that I've bought?

Out of curiosity, is this your origianl Xbox, or has it been replaced at some point?

The reason I ask is that if you replace your xbox, and put your old hard drive on the new console all your DLC for all games will work when you are connected online, but when you go offline it doesn't work. If this is the case you need to go to the xbox site and migrate your license to the new xbox. Once that is done then your DLC will work online and offline.
